BAHÁ’Í WORLD CENTRE — Five days of spirited consultation among the Continental Boards of Counsellors reached their conclusion today with the reading of a message from the Universal House of Justice addressed to the Bahá’ís of the world.

The message reflects on the rich accounts shared during the conference of efforts unfolding across the world, advances taking shape in “settings of all kinds,” and highlights how these experiences are contributing to a “flourishing process of learning at every level of the community.”

It notes how, through various forms of collaboration, communities are becoming better able at contributing to the betterment of society, and it draws particular attention to places where participation in Bahá’í activities has become widespread, “where the community's relationship with society is deepening and rapidly evolving.”

Drawing on experience from diverse social and cultural settings, the Counsellors consulted during their conference on how communities learn to translate spiritual principles into forms of collective action that are responsive to local realities while remaining coherent in their intent. Central to their reflections was the growing capacity of people, working together in a spirit of mutual support, to take responsibility for their own spiritual and material advancement, steadily building patterns of life that nurture trust, cultivate learning, and invite wider participation.

Seen in this light, the work unfolding in many places was understood not as a series of isolated efforts, but as part of a broader movement of spiritual renewal, in which individuals and communities alike are becoming conscious agents in the betterment of the world.

Following the close of the conference, the Counsellors proceeded in prayerful procession to the Shrine of Bahá’u’lláh, offering supplications for the well-being of humanity and seeking spiritual preparation for the consultations that will continue among continental and zonal groupings in the days to come.

The consultations were supported by simultaneous translation in 7 languages throughout the conference.
