XIII Convención Internacional: Los delegados se preparan espiritualmente para una responsabilidad sagrada

En la antesala de la XIII Convención Internacional Bahá’í, delegados de todo el mundo se han imbuido de la atmósfera espiritual que reina en los Lugares Sagrados Bahá’ís. Estas visitas a los lugares íntimamente relacionados con las vidas de Bahá’u’lláh y de ‘Abdu’l-Bahá brindan a los delegados la oportunidad especial de prepararse para su sagrado deber: elegir la Casa Universal de Justicia.


Las siguientes imágenes ofrecen una visión de las conmovedoras experiencias compartidas por los delegados en su peregrinación por la zona de ‘Akká y Haifa visitando los Lugares Sagrados bahá’ís.

La celda de Bahá’u’lláh

Bahá’u’lláh y Su familia estuvieron encarcelados en el ala noroeste de esta ciudadela de ‘Akká durante más de dos años, de 1868 a 1870. Fue aquí donde Bahá’u’lláh reveló obras históricas que exhortaban a la humanidad a trabajar para el desarrollo de una civilización mundial justa basada en la unicidad de la humanidad.

La casa de ‘Abbúd

Bahá’u’lláh y Su familia, exiliados y bajo arresto domiciliario, llegaron a este edificio en 1871 y vivieron durante algún tiempo en condiciones de hacinamiento y privación extremas. En 1873, Bahá’u’lláh reveló Su Libro Más Sagrado, el Kitáb-i-Aqdas, en este lugar sagrado.

La mansión de Mazra‘ih

A principios de junio de 1877, tras nueve años de confinamiento entre los muros de la ciudad-prisión de ‘Akká, Bahá’u’lláh y los miembros de Su familia fijaron su residencia en Mazra’ih, donde Él recibió visitas y escribió numerosas tablas.

La casa de ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

‘Abdu’l-Bahá residió en esta casa durante los últimos años de Su vida y falleció en ella la madrugada del 28 de noviembre de 1921. Al día siguiente de Su fallecimiento, más de diez mil personas asistieron al funeral de ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.

Emplazamiento del Santuario de ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
